Design Process

1) Contract signing and deposit made
2) Homework: questionnaire, gathering images & copy in our shared Dropbox folder
3) Pre-design consultation
4) Home page and structure build
5) Revisions call
6) Finish site build
7) Second revisions call
8) Hook up social media and third party services, domain transfer, pay for hosting
9) Last looks/revisions, final payment and LAUNCH!
10) Tech training over Zoom

Here’s what I need to get started:


On Pinterest, create and fill a public or secret board with inspiration for your brand. If you get stuck, feel free to pin from my design boards HERE.

Send me the link to your board when you’re done so I can see it! (You can delete the board once your project is complete).

If Pinterest isn’t your thing, don’t worry. You can search Google for images that resonate with the way you want your brand to feel and simply upload them to the ‘Pinterest’ task inside our shared Dropbox folder.

In order to keep to time frames and deadlines set, I will need all the content for your website before I start the project.

You will need to provide the text for all pages (unless I’m helping with copy) and supply your logo and any particular photos you want to be used on the site. You can upload these files to our Dropbox folder (link will be sent in an email).


I really appreciate simple and straightforward feedback (you won’t hurt my feelings). It helps me clearly understand your thoughts and make the right changes to your designs.
Here are a few tips on providing awesome feedback:
- Try and use bullet points to break up your feedback.
- Use headers to organize your feedback.
- Read over your feedback to make sure it’s clear and check that you’ve answered any questions I may have asked.
- Please compile your entire revision/feedback into ONE document
- If you have team members that would like to add their feedback, I kindly ask that you gather the feedback into one message. This stops everyone from getting confused and keeps the project organized.


You have already completed the deposit for services. The balance is due when the project is complete (website launched). Websites are typically launched within 2 weeks or less of beginning the project.


Will my new site be on page one of Google?
Not yet. It takes time and good search engine optimization (SEO) to achieve this. However, your site will be optimized for search engines and over time could get on the first page of Google for search terms related to your business.

Can you help me with website copy?
Copy writing can be tricky! If you need my help, I can offer my services for between $500 and $1000 depending on the scope of the site. Just let me know if you need help.

Will you show me how to update the site myself?
Absolutely! At the end of your project, I offer a complimentary training session to help you learn how to manage and update your own website (it’s easier than you think!)

Will you send me the fonts you used?
I will send you the names of the fonts used so your collateral will match your website.

Will you send me the editable design files?
Any designs created for your website are yours to use. They will be sent to you upon receipt of payment in full.

Can you create a logo?
I recommend hiring a graphic designer for your logo design. Affordable designers can be found on,, and
